Anglesey Grazing Animals Partnership

Support Us

You can help AGAP in a number of different ways from Sponsorship, to Local Stockchecking or Voluntering.

Sponsorship

Some of our sites are grazed by semi-feral ponies from the Carneddau range in Snowdonia, or by Welsh Mountain Section A ponies. These pretty little animals have big personalities and do and excellent job of managing a variety of vegetation from prickly gorse to reeds even taller than them! Why not sponsor one of our ponies, and receive regular updates on its progress?

Local Stockchecking

If you regularly walk in places where AGAP stock is grazed, have you considered becoming a ‘looker’? This involves helping the farmer by keeping an eye on the animals, being involved in the management of the site, and providing a link between the public and AGAP.

Volunteering

Volunteer work days are a good opportunity to meet people and take part in practical tasks such as bramble clearing and litter picking which helps towards wildlife conservation. Tools and gloves are provided for small teams who go out on site with a supervisor.

Volunteer students have helped with monitoring, office work and manning the stand at events as they learn about running a grazing scheme

If you’d like to get involved in Sponsorship, Local Stockchecking or Volunteering the Anglesey Grazing Animals Partnership would be delighted to hear from you.
